«1C-Rarus» has implemented an automation management system on the basis of the «1C:Enterprise 8.1» platform in the «Pelican-Auto» company

1C-Rarus has executed an automation management system implementation project in the company «Pelican-Auto» which is an official dealer of Nissan and Skoda companies. The automation was realized on the basis of «Alpha-Auto: Car dealers + Automobile service centers + Spare parts shop v.4», developed using the «1C:Enterprise 8.1»   platform. Over 100 workplaces were automated. As a result of the project, the main business processes were optimized: the process of car sales was accelerated by two, owing to exclusion of data duplication in different information systems, labor contents were shorted too.

Ïåëèêàí-Àâòî«Pelican-Auto» has been working on the automobile market since 1996 and is an official dealer of Nissan and Skoda companies. It is engaged with automobile sales and services. The company has 3 remote departments: the first one made up of a central office and a Nissan exhibition shop, the second one is a Skoda exhibition shop, and the third one is a Skoda service centre. Every month the company sales approximately 300 cars of both brands, the average quantity of cars that require servicing is 2500 per month. The Nissan exhibition shop which is owned by Pelican-Auto is the largest one of all Nissan shops in Europe.

Ïðåäñåäàòåëü ñîâåòà äèðåêòîðîâ «Ïåëèêàí-Àâòî», Ìàëÿðîâ Èãîðü Þðüåâè÷ In November 2005 the organization structure of Pelican-Auto was changed due to the incorporation of the individual legal entities. These changes resulted in a necessity of implementing a new automated system which allowed to manage the main business processes in the same information environment. A word from the Chairman of board of directors Malyarov Igor: «By the time when the Nissan exhibition shop was opened, we used 4 different software in order to account for services and spare parts, warehouse and regulated accountancy. The systems were self-contained making it difficult to manage the history of automobiles servicing, many documents were to be entered 3–4 times and it was really difficult to manage and economize time». The need to optimize the operational processes was another reason why it was necessary to implement a new automated system.

«Ïåëèêàí-Àâòî», ñàëîí Skoda Upon analyzing the market of software intended for the automation of auto dealers activities, the leadership of the company choose the system «Alpha-Auto: Car dealers + Automobile service centers + Spare parts shop v.4»  developed on the basis of a modern technological platform «1C: Enterprise 8.1».. «1C-Rarus», which has been developing solutions for the automobile business for over 7 years now, has become a partner of «Pelican-Auto» in the project.

 

T«Ïåëèêàí-Àâòî»he project of automation of management accountancy in «Pelican-Auto» was carried out over a period 5 months, using step-by-step method. Over 100 workplaces in three departments were automated. The implemented system provides the automation of the following main businesses in the company:

  1. Automobile accounting: warehouse accounting, accounting of orders, assembling of cars, settlements, drawing up of sales documents, documentation of additional equipment installations and presale preparations.
  2. Accounting of spare parts: detailed warehouse accounting, deliveries and sales accounting, orders accounting, debt and payment settlements, catalog of spare parts. On the basis of the algorithm which was suggested by the Customer, a procedure of calculating an optimal order was formulated and also a discount system. Accounting of different taxation methods in accordance with different businesses of the company was also made.
  3. Accounting of repair services: drawing up of orders, standardization, pricing and works determination, catalog of cars, procedure of material and spare part requisitions, drawing up of accompanying documents, debt and payment settlements, output of employees. In addition, procedures of using outsourcing services, settling of disputes, insurance pricing were developed.

In order to provide an indivisible information environment between remote departments and the central office, the daily  data exchange procedure was used with the aid of integrated «1C:Enterprise» mechanisms.

The future plans of the relationship between «1C-Rarus» and «Pelican-Auto» include the integration of «Alpha-Auto: Car dealers + Automobile service centers + Spare parts shop v.4»  with the accountancy system and the developing of car rental modules, trade-in module and CRM technologies.
